Not every audition features a director yelling, "Step, kick, kick, leap, kick, touch... Again!" In fact, the casting call on January 21 at Hilton New York had more of a "Sit! Stay!" kind of feel to it. That's because it was a canine casting call for the remaining spots in Broadway's upcoming Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Animal trainer Bill Berloni (known for casting perhaps the most famous dog part in Broadway history--Sandy in Annie, of course), the current canine cast of the musical and cast member Ken Kantor, who gets awfully close to the animals during the show, were on hand to take in the hopefuls. We hope they get it!
